Elisabeth-Cornwell

Dr. Cornwell is an accomplished research scientist and former Professor of Evolutionary Psychology at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She is an evolutionary psychologist, a research psychologist who looks at human and non-human behavior from an evolutionary perspective. She explores why certain behaviors that are ubiquitous among humankind, and why some non-human animal behaviors seem human. More recently she has studied the relationship of religious faith to psychological traits. As the former Executive Director of the Richard Dawkins Foundation, she created the OUT Campaign, which encouraged atheists to be open about who they are, to break down stereotypes. She speaks across the country as an advocate of science and human rights.
