This sign-on letter addresses┬áthe President of Myanmar, as well as the U.S. Ambassador to Myanmar,┬áregarding┬áfour “Protection of Race and Religion” statutes recently signed into law. ┬áThese laws are destructive to not only democracy but to the people who make up this growing nation.

We call on MyanmarÔÇÖs diplomatic mission in the United States to arrange a meeting with the Secular Policy Institute to discuss these laws, and ask that they┬áconsider enacting laws and regulations that support the ongoing development of a more just and equitable society.
