Should women around the globe be┬ádenied above-board access to birth control methods–both abortive and preventative?

The Secular Policy Institute and our coalition partners advocate that women in areas affected by the recent Zika virus outbreak ought to have full reproductive agency.  This needs to include access to both contraception and to safe abortions, especially in light of the birth defects caused by this disease.

In a letter to go out later this month, we call upon the President of Brazil to address many fatal issues with the country’s public policy as it concerns women of a reproductive age.
