Freedom of religion, freedom of belief, and freedom of expression are at the heart of international human rights agreements, just as they are at the heart of the U.S. Constitution. SECULAR RECOMMENDATIONS ON THE RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF RELIGION, BELIEF, AND EXPRESSION IN INTERNATIONAL LAW

Several key international agreements approved by the United Nations (UN) enshrine freedom of religion, belief, and expression as basic international human rights.
